bethany whitaker, teacher
Bethany began her formal training as a pianist at age 6. She also enjoys playing acoustic guitar and taught herself ukulele. She has been involved in several worship teams for the past 5 years, playing piano, guitar, and also singing. From kids songs to oldies, there was always music playing in her house growing up. Now, more than ever, music is almost always playing around her. Bethany has taught children for many years. She loves working with students of all ages and is very excited to be a teacher here at Randall Music School. Bethany is currently studying to get her Associates Degree in Music.
Francis Blume, Teacher
Francis began playing the guitar at the age of 13. After learning a few basic chords through lessons, he began writing his own songs; which increased his desire to learn more about music. This led him to take piano lessons and learn music theory. When he was 16 he began playing music in the church, and for over a decade he served as a worship leader and music director at various churches. At the age of 20, he began teaching guitar lessons for students of all ages with an emphasis on both learning and writing songs.
In 2018, he began his professional career as a singer/songwriter and has since become a prominent artist in the San Diego music scene. He has performed alongside artists like Sierra Ferrell and Dave Keuning (The Killers), and opened for acts such as Rufus Wainwright, Lily Meola, Wade Bowen, Matt Costa, Mason Jennings and more. In 2020, he won the Rockbridge Guitars Songwriting Contest; judged by Dave Matthews, Amos Lee, Emily King and John Alagia.
Francis' professional background brings a real-world experience to his teaching. He is committed to fostering a love of music in his students and helping them reach their full musical potential, whether they are beginners or advanced players.

DESIREE HERNANDEZ, TEACHER
Desiree started learning piano at 8 years old, and then fell in love with playing guitar in 6th grade. She began leading worship at her church in junior high and has since lead for her church’s women’s ministry as well as in the main services. She attended Calvary Chapel Bible College and studied worship. Desiree loves all sorts of music and collects vintage records. Desiree is so excited to help young artists grow their knowledge and passion for music! Desiree teaches guitar, ukulele, piano and voice.
Ella brenize, teacher
Ella began taking piano lessons at 11 years old. She was inspired to play by her grandma and great-grandmother. Ella fell in love with music at a young age and teaches piano, but dabbles in guitar and ukulele in her free time. She led worship for three years at her former church and is now on the worship team for her local church. Her passion is helping students and friends find a deeper love of music.
